I know myself … But will others accept me?

I know what I stand for, what I believe, what feels aligned, and what doesn’t. My values aren’t just words I put on a vision board; they are the pillars of how I move through the world.

And yet there’s this fear.

Not of uncertainty, not of failure, but of being dismissed. Of being overlooked. Of being too much and somehow not enough at the same time.

Because when you know yourself, when you stand firm in your truth, there’s always a risk—the risk of not being understood.

And that? That’s hard. Not getting recognized / Not getting invited.

The Fear of Conviction

Conviction should feel like a superpower, right? Like a shield of clarity that makes every decision easier, every path more defined.

And in many ways, it is.

But conviction also makes you visible. And being visible means being judged.

It means people will question you.
It means people will challenge you.
It means some will dismiss you outright because you don’t waver, because you refuse to shrink, because you see things clearly and they don’t.

And let’s be honest—that can be lonely.

It’s one thing to fear not knowing who you are.
It’s another thing entirely to fear being ridiculed for knowing yourself too well.

Strong Values, Hard Choices

I used to think that having strong values meant decisions would come easily.

If I know what I believe in, what I stand for, then choosing the right path should be simple, right?
